UK to issue findings of Iraqi abuse inquiry

Britain is releasing a long-awaited report into military abuse of Iraqi prisoners and the death of an Iraqi civilian beaten and killed in the custody of U.K. troops.
Baha Mousa, 26, was working at a hotel in the southern Iraqi city of Basra that was raided by soldiers looking for weapons in September 2003.
The public inquiry examined Mousa's death and whether troops used banned techniques during interrogations.
Lawyers told the inquiry Moussa suffered 93 injuries during 36 hours in custody.
The inquiry got underway in July 2009 and its findings will be released Thursday. The report will not address to rule on civil or criminal liability.
Britain's defense ministry has apologized for the mistreatment of Mousa and nine other Iraqis and paid a 3 million pound ($4.8 million) settlement.
