Dream moves up to third, beat Sun

Angel McCoughtry scored 35 points to lead Atlanta Dream to an 85-74 win over Connecticut Sun on Tuesday, moving into third place in the WNBA's Eastern Conference.
The loss dropped the Sun a game behind first-place Indiana in the Eastern Conference. The Dream is one game behind the Sun and half a game ahead of fourth-placed New York.
Tina Charles had 17 points and 12 rebounds for Connecticut for her 22nd double-double of the season, matching the WNBA record she set last year.
Silver Stars 82, Sparks 65
In Los Angeles, San Antonio clinched a playoff spot for the fifth straight year by beating Los Angeles.
Becky Hammon scored 17 of her season-high 37 points in the fourth quarter to help the Silver Stars seize the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Hammon shot 14 of 19 overall with four 3-pointers as the Silver Stars went on 12-0 run after the Sparks had got within three.
Tully Bevilaqua added 11 points for San Antonio.
Tina Thompson had 18 points for the Sparks, who were eliminated from postseason contention.
