Puerto Rico, Argentina, Brazil and the Dominican Republic booked their spots in the semifinals of the Olympic basketball qualifying tournament for the Americas on Tuesday.
Puerto Rico defeated Canada 79-74, Argentina overpowered Venezuela 111-93, Brazil beat Panama 90-65 and the Dominican Republic defeated Uruguay 84-76.
All four advanced with room to spare with two rounds of second-round play remaining.
The semifinals are Saturday and play ends Sunday with the top two teams qualifying for the 2012 London Olympics. The United States won the 2010 world championship and has already qualified for London.
