Canadian faces sex charges in Delaware

A federal grand jury in Delaware has indicted a Canadian man on charges of traveling to the United States to have sex with a girl he met online.
Authorities on Tuesday announced an indictment charging 43-year-old David Gellad of Rosemere, Quebec, with traveling to the U.S. to have sex with a 14-year-old Pennsylvania girl. He is charged with enticement of a minor and two counts of travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
According to complaint unsealed in July after Gellad was arrested while trying to enter Vermont. Gellad traveled to the girl's Chester County home and to a hotel in Newark, Delaware, in March. He allegedly returned to the hotel in June and had sex with the girl there.
Gellad has been in custody since his arrest.
