Canada rallies to beat US 28-22 in WCup warmup

Phil Mackenzie and Aaron Carpenter scored second-half tries as Canada rallied to beat the United States 28-22 Saturday in a warmup match ahead of next month's Rugby World Cup.
The Americans dominated play in the first half, scoring from a penalty kick and then getting a try from Takudzwa Ngwenya to go to the break leading 15-10.
The game, dubbed "The Battle at BMO Field," was played at the home of Toronto FC of Major League Soccer and was the first game in a home-and-away series. The U.S. hosts Canada next Saturday at Infinity Field in Glendale, Colorado.
The World Cup begins Sept. 9 in New Zealand.
