The head of Germany's intelligence service says leaked building plans for its new Berlin headquarters appear to be very general and, although the incident is cause for concern, it should not affect construction.
Ernst Uhrlau told reporters Tuesday that from a report in Germany's Focus magazine, which had seen the documents, it appears they are for a part of a new building that includes a parking garage and electrical systems.
He says there are hundreds of workers on the building site each day and several companies involved in the construction, and that many have access to the general building plans. Blueprints for more sensitive elements _ like the security system _ are kept to a smaller group under stricter controls.
An investigation into how the plans were leaked is underway.
