Concept store duo replace Marras at Kenzo

Luxury giant LVMH has appointed the duo behind the Opening Ceremony concept stores to replace Italian designer Antonio Marras as creative directors at Kenzo.
The appointment of Humberto Leon and Carol Lim takes effective immediately, ending Marras' eight-year-long tenure at the east-meets-west brand.
Leon and Lim founded Opening Ceremony, a multi-brand store with boutiques in New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo, in 2002.
Pierre-Yves Roussel, chairman of the fashion division at Kenzo parent company LVMH, said in a statement Tuesday he expected the pair to rejuvenate the brand and "position it ideally for an ambitious development."
Founded in 1970 by Japanese-born designer Kenzo Takada, the label is known for its use of bright, bold prints.
