Greece raises (EURO)1.62 billion in T-Bill auction

Greece has raised (EURO)1.62 billion ($2.28 billion) in an auction of 26-week treasury bills, held as Greek and European debt fears continue to rattle international markets.
The bills were sold Tuesday at a yield of 4.90 percent, easing slightly from a June 14 auction at a rate of 4.96 percent, according to a statement from Greece's Public Debt Management Agency says read out on state television.
Tuesday's sale was oversubscribed 2.88 times.
Greece has been locked out of long-term debt markets by exorbitant borrowing costs, with the interest demanded for 10-year bonds remaining above 17 percent.
