Russia' Medvedev remains coy about re-election bid

Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev says he will decide whether to seek a second term when the election comes closer.
Medvedev and his longtime patron and predecessor as president, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, both have remained coy about their plans for next March's presidential vote. They both have said they would make a coordinated decision later who of them should run for president.
Medvedev told a news conference Wednesday it is too early to announce his plans.
Putin has remained Russia's most powerful politician even after shifting into the premier's seat, and most observers expect him to reclaim presidency. He recently has called for creation of a new political movement to expand his support base.
