Woman pleads not guilty in 'Granny Bandit' holdups

A 50-year-old woman suspected of stealing purses from shoppers at gunpoint in Southern California has pleaded not guilty to four stickups.
The San Bernardino Sun says Dodi Wasbotten, who was dubbed the "Granny Bandit," entered the pleas in court Monday.
A thief robbed four women earlier this month outside department stores. The nickname was based on descriptions of the robber as an older-looking woman, although she concealed her face with sunglasses and a scarf.
Wasbotten was arrested after her car was recognized as matching the description of the robber's getaway vehicle.
Authorities say Wasbotten is a grandmother and has a history of drug and alcohol use.
