Albania urged to speed up local poll vote count

The international community is urging Albania's electoral officials to speed up the release of the final results from the local elections held ten days ago.
Preliminary results show the opposition leader, Edi Rama, winning in the capital Tirana by a 10 vote margin, but final results are still pending.
The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, as well as ambassadors from the United States and European countries say Albanians "want and deserve clarity" on the outcome.
In a joint statement Tuesday, OSCE, U.S. and EU officials also urged all sides to exercise self-restraint following the May 8 vote.
Albania has been in a political crisis for months, with the opposition alleging that the government had rigged national elections in 2009.
