Italy deports Algerian considered security risk

The Italian government says it has deported an Algerian man considered a security risk, two weeks after he arrived clandestinely on the island of Lampedusa where scores of boats have arrived since the uprisings began in northern Africa.
The Interior Ministry said Allam Baghdad belonged to both Libyan and Algerian extremist groups and had been already deported in 2008.
He was put on a plane to Algeria Tuesday.
Italian officials have been warning that terrorists may be among the thousands of migrants who have arrived by boat from North Africa since anti-regime protests that began in Tunisia spread across the region.
Baghdad arrived in Lampedusa on April 30 and was arrested after a security check.
