IAEA to send international mission to Japan

The U.N nuclear agency is sending an international expert delegation to Japan on a mission that will include a visit to the stricken Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant.
The International Atomic Energy Agency says the visit will start May 24 and end June 2. It says about 20 IAEA and other experts from a dozen countries will participate under the leadership of Mike Weightman, chief inspector of Britain's nuclear facilities.
An IAEA statement issued Tuesday said the team will report to a four-day conference of IAEA member nation government ministers starting June 20 and focusing on the March 11 Fukushima accident.
