Coach Christoph Daum has left Eintracht Frankfurt after the club's relegation on the final day of the Bundesliga season.
Daum announced his decision Monday, saying he would not be coaching Frankfurt in the second division.
Frankfurt was relegated for the fourth time in its history with a 3-1 defeat at champion Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
The 57-year-old Daum was hired after Michael Skibbe was fired with seven games of the season remaining.
He failed to win a game _ drawing three _ giving him the worst ever start by a coach in the Bundesliga.
Daum had been appointed until the end of the season, with both sides hoping to extend that arrangement.
He won the Bundesliga title with Stuttgart in 1992, and titles in Turkey with Besiktas and Fenerbahce.
