Sri Lanka's team manager says allrounder Anjelo Mathews has a side strain after bowling six overs in the World Cup semifinal against New Zealand but will be fit to bat if needed.
Anura Tennakoon says Mathews was seen by a doctor Tuesday after Sri Lanka bowled out the Kiwis for 217.
Mathews bowled six overs and conceded 27 runs.
The team that wins Tuesday's match will play the final on March 2 against India or Pakistan. It is not known if Mathews would be fit for the final.
