Andrew gets new position in English shakeup

Rob Andrew has been hired as the English Rugby Football Union's new director of rugby operations with immediate effect, as part of a shakeup of the organization.
With his role as the RFU's elite rugby director to be abolished, the former England flyhalf takes up a newly created position following the split of the elite department into three areas _ performance, operations and development.
The RFU says Andrew's brief is "to optimize competition structures, coaching and referee development, medicine and sports science and research and innovation." He will keep responsibility for managing the Elite Player Squad agreement.
Andrew says he's "excited by the opportunity to maintain many of my key responsibilities at the RFU and to add new ones to my remit."
