Ricky Ponting is confident his fast bowlers will give defending champion Australia an edge over India in their high-profile World Cup quarterfinal.
After dismissing speculation Wednesday that he's about to retire, Ponting was happier to discuss the match up against pre-tournament favorite India.
He says Brett Lee, Shaun Tait and Mitchell Johnson form the best fast bowling attack in the game, saying India would have to endure 30 overs of outright pace and that if his quicks performed, "We have a good chance."
Lee has 12 wickets so far, while Tait and Johnson have 10 each. The problem for Australia is its lack of an experienced spinner, usually so crucial on Indian wickets.
