The 'River of Wisdom - Animated Version of the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival' will be exhibited in Macau during March 25

The “River of Wisdom - Animated Version of the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival” shown at the China Pavilion of World Expo 2010 Shanghai China will arrive in Macau for people to see this masterpiece of fusion between innovative computer animation technology and Chinese culture. The original version of the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, kept at the Palace Museum in Beijing, is a 528cm-long, 24.8cm-high painting by Zhang Zeduan of the Northern Song dynasty which captured the natural scenery and the daily life of people from the Song period at the capital, Bianjing. The entire piece was painted in hand scroll format and the content revealed the lifestyle of all levels of the society as well as different economic activities in rural areas and the city. The Animated Version projects the famous painting on a giant screen more than 120 metres long and six metres high with animated figures and sceneries. Don’t miss it!

The exhibition opens during March 25 to April 14, 2011, from 10:00 to 20:00 with 1 hour for each viewing session. The venue of this exhibition is at Macau East Asian Games Dome. The price of admission is MOP$10 (about NT$40). Visitors aged under 12 or above 65 can obtain free admission with presenting an identification document upon ticket redemption. Please purchase tickets in advance due to the limited number of admission. Moreover, visitors can purchase tickets from March 8 via Kong Seng Ticket Selling Network (www.macauticket.com).
