UN encouraged by more reporting on Iran

Members of the U.N. Security Council committee that monitors sanctions aimed at preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons say they're pleased that more countries are reporting possible arms violations by Iran.
Colombian Ambassador Nestor Osorio, who heads the committee, said Tuesday in the group's quarterly report that such readiness to report possible violations on their territory "is positive and should be encouraged."
The U.N. sanctions also prohibit Iran from exporting arms of all kinds to other countries.
Council members say little else has changed since their last report, with Iran still refusing to discuss any possible military use for its nuclear program. Iran says its program has only peaceful aims.
