Russia's Putin condemns civilian deaths in Libya

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin says anyone responsible for civilian deaths in Libya should be "praying for the salvation of their souls."
Putin said Tuesday that international forces' air strikes on Moammar Gadhafi's forces in the North African nation have resulted in civilian deaths.
There are no reliable civilian death tolls from Libya. Rebels say over 1,000 people have been killed in a month of fighting, while Moammar Gadhafi claims the toll is only 150.
Putin said in televised remarks from his meeting with his Slovenian counterpart Borut Pahor in Ljubliana that the predominantly Western forces should not be "acting on their own."
A day earlier, Putin called the United Nations resolution approving the military operation "a call for a crusade."
