AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato will likely miss Brazil's friendly against Scotland on Sunday because of a left ankle injury sustained in an Italian league match.
AC Milan says the Brazil forward sprained his ankle in the team's 1-0 loss to Palermo on Saturday. Exams showed he will need about 10 days to recover, meaning he won't be fit in time for the friendly against Scotland in London.
The Brazilian football federation has yet to officially drop Pato from the squad for the match at Emirates Stadium.
It isn't clear if Brazil coach Mano Menezes will summon another player to replace Pato if his absence is confirmed.
