Japan's automakers preparing to resume production

Japanese automakers say they are looking at when they can resume production after damage to power plants, suppliers and some factories in a devastating March 11 earthquake halted output.
The maker of Subaru autos says it will start making parts for foreign production Wednesday but production at factories in Japan still is suspended at least through Thursday.
Spokespeople for Toyota and Honda said those companies are deciding when they can restart production.
Japanese automakers are expected to rebound once they restart production following the quake and tsunami that killed at least 9,000 people. But industry analysts say they will be hampered by power shortages and damage to roads.
