Iran detains several members of Baha'i faith

An Iranian newspaper is reporting that authorities have detained several members of the Baha'i faith.
The Sunday report by the hardline Javan newspaper quotes prosecutor Mohammad Reza Sanjari as saying the detainees had carried out missionary work in kindergartens in Tehran and in the south of the country.
Sanjari also said the detainees had penetrated local papers to proselytize through children's stories.
The minority has been persecuted since the religion was banned after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
The Baha'i faith was founded in the 1860s by Baha'u'llah, a Persian nobleman considered a prophet by his followers. Islam considers Muhammad the last of the prophets.
