Jason Lamy Chappuis repeats as World Cup champion

Olympic champion Jason Lamy Chappuis secured yet another title Friday by clinching the overall Nordic combined World Cup title at the Lahti Ski Games.
The 24-year-old defending champion from France, who only needed to finish in the top 13 for the overall win, finished third after the ski jump and the 10-kilometer cross-country race.
Bjorn Kircheisen of Germany won the race in 25 minutes, 28.6 seconds. Eric Frenzel, another German, was second, 5.4 seconds behind, and Lamy Chappuis took third, 13.2 behind.
Lamy Chappuis has 849 points with one event left, putting him out of the reach of Mikko Kokslien of Norway, who has 641. Felix Gottwald, a 35-year-old Austrian who will end his World Cup career in Lahti, is third with 578 points.
