The stage is set for a battle this weekend between Lindsey Vonn and Maria Riesch for the overall World Cup title.
Good results in Friday's giant slalom and Saturday's slalom at this northern Czech resort could see Riesch finally emerge from the shadows of her major rival and friend.
Having finished second to Vonn for the last two seasons, Riesch heads into the remaining six races of the season with a lead of 96 points and the confidence that she can make it.
Riesch says she feels "in good form and I am going to try everything."
But Vonn showed a return to form last week after being forced to skip the second half of last month's world championships to recover from mild concussion.
