Pakistan off to a flying start in World Cup

Pakistan got off to a perfect start to the World Cup with an emphatic 205-run win over Kenya in Group A on Wednesday.
Umar Akmal scored a quickfire 71 off 52 balls while half centuries from Misbah-ul-Haq (65), Kamran Akmal (55) and Younis Khan (50) also helped Pakistan recover from a jittery start to post 317-7 at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium.
Legspinner and captain Shahid Afridi took 5-16 as Kenya was bowled out for 112 in 33.1 overs.
Kenyan bowlers were off target after two early wickets, following Pakistan's decision to bat first. The 2003 semifinalist conceded 37 runs off wide balls that equalled the previous number of most conceded in a 50-over international.
New ball bowler Thomas Odoya (3-41) conceded 20 of them.
