Crashed skier Grugger released from hospital

Austrian skier Hans Grugger has been released from the hospital, one month after undergoing brain surgery following a near-fatal downhill crash.
The Austrian ski federation said Monday that Grugger has been moved to a rehabilitation center in Hochzirl for further recovery.
According to doctor Claudius Thome from the University Hospital, Grugger "has recovered fast from the operation ... there were no complications so he could leave for rehab earlier than scheduled."
The 29-year-old Grugger smashed his head on the icy Streif course in Kitzbuehel after a training crash and underwent a 5-hour emergency operation. He was kept in an induced coma for 11 days.
