Mikko Hirvonen of Finland holds a narrow lead over Norwegian driver Mads Ostberg after day two of the Swedish Rally.
Just 16 seconds separate the first five drivers going into the final day, with Petter Solberg, Jari-Matti Latvala and Sebastien Ogier all within sight of the leading pair.
Seven-time world champion Sebastien Loeb also gained ground as he claimed four stage victories on Saturday. Loeb, who lost time with a puncture on day one, trails Hirvonen by 1 minute 42.1 seconds.
Former Formula One champion Kimi Raikkonen is seventh, more than five minutes back.
