Expect another dry and cool day across China and northeast Asia on Sunday, while tropical weather persists near Australia and the South Pacific.
Tokyo will see a few patchy clouds with highs near 5 degrees Celsius, while Seoul will see mostly sunny skies and highs near minus 5 C.
In China, a strong ridge of high pressure will allow plenty of daytime sunshine and warm winter conditions. Beijing will see highs near 2 C, Shanghai will rise to 4 C and Hong Kong will see a few patchy clouds with highs near 16 C.
In Australia, Tropical Cyclone Bianca is spinning some 310 miles (500 kilometers) west-southwest of Learmonth. The system will lose strength as it moves south into cooler waters, skirting along western Australia. Expect moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms over Perth and Albany, with high tides and wave heights up to 30 feet (9 meters).
Elsewhere in Australia, expect Sydney to see a few patchy clouds with highs in the upper 20s C, and Melbourne to see a few clouds and highs near 40 C.
To the east, Tropical Cyclone Wilma, located 180 miles (290 kilometers) north of Auckland, New Zealand, will decrease in strength as it moves past the North Island.
