Gold, silver gain in wake of Egyptian riots

Gold and silver prices are moving higher as rioting in Egypt is feeding fears that the violence may spread to other countries in the Middle East.
The Egyptian uprising comes after earlier protests forced out the president of Tunisia. Anti-government protests also have rocked Lebanon and Yemen.
The situation is prompting anxious investors to put more money into gold and silver. The precious metals are considered safer places to park money during turbulent economic times.
Gold settled up 1.7 percent Friday while silver rose 3.3 percent.
Oil settled near $90 a barrel which was up about 4.3 percent.
