Scheiber's condition improves after crash

Austrian skier Mario Scheiber is recovering well from his spectacular crash during a World Cup downhill training run in the French Alps but will remain hospitalized at least one more night.
Scheiber broke his right shoulder blade and fractured his sinuses but escaped without serious head injuries after crashing on the Verte course in Chamonix on Thursday.
The Austrian team doctor said Friday that Scheiber spent his first night at the Sallanches hospital "without any complication."
The 27-year-old Scheiber, who finished fourth in the World Cup downhill in Kitzbuehel, said "I feel quite well. I am tired and exhausted but luckily I have no pain. The most important thing is that I get healthy again and can do everything normally."
A decision on whether Scheiber can be brought back to Austria is expected to be taken on Saturday.
