Pakistani police say a U.S. consular employee who is alleged to have shot and killed two armed men who may have been intent on robbing him could face criminal charges.
Police officer Umar Saeed said on Friday that the American had told officers he had withdrawn money from an ATM shortly before the incident.
The case could inflame anti-American sentiment in Pakistan.
