Canadian terror suspect to seek bail

The lawyer for a Canadian terror suspect accused of conspiring to kill Americans abroad says his client is not a threat to the public and will apply for bail while he fights extradition to the United States.
Lawyer Bob Aloneissi says his client, Faruq Khalil Muhammad 'Isa, appeared in court briefly Thursday and his case was put over to Feb. 2. That's when he will apply for bail, Aloneissi said.
Muhammad 'Isa, a 38-year-old Canadian citizen and Iraqi national, is fighting extradition to the U.S., where he is charged with supporting a multinational terrorist network that took part in a suicide bombing that killed five soldiers in Iraq.
If convicted, Muhammad 'Isa faces life in prison.
