Ex-convict charged with killing Canadian in Mexico

An ex-convict has been charged with killing a Canadian businessman who worked in Mexico with a company that employed inmates to make bags from recycled materials.
Daniel Dion's body was found Oct. 31 on a highway outside the resort of Acapulco, where he has been on a business trip.
Guerrero state investigative police director Fernando Monreal says a judge formally charged Hector Figueroa in the killing Wednesday, a month after his arrest.
Monreal says Figueroa confessed to beating Dion to death after an argument, putting his body in the trunk of a car and setting in on fire.
Monreal says Figueroa began working with Dion when he was serving time for homicide. After his release, Figueroa continued helping Dion with logistics.
