Report: Poland's Gen. Jaruzelski hospitalized

A TV station says Poland's last communist leader, Gen. Wojciech Jaruzelski, has been hospitalized.
Private TVN24 television said Wednesday the 87-year-old is being treated in an Interior Ministry hospital's cardiology ward in the northern city of Olsztyn. The report gave no reason for his hospitalization.
A nurse on duty at the hospital reached by phone refused to comment on the report. There was no information of Jaruzelski's website.
In 1981 Jaruzelski imposed martial law in Poland intending to crush the national Solidarity freedom movement that eventually ousted communists from power in 1989.
In 2009 Jaruzelski had surgery for a face tumor.
In 2008 he was hospitalized with pneumonia and heart problems.
