For England captain Andrew Strauss, retaining the Ashes in Australia is just the first step on a long journey he hopes will culminate in test cricket's top ranking.
England completed an emphatic innings and 157-run win over Australia before lunch Wednesday to win the fourth test and retain the Ashes on Australian soil for the first time in 24 years.
But Strauss says the England team now has its sights set on bigger goals, saying; "In reality the job's a long way off being done."
Ranked the ICC's No. 3 test playing nation _ ahead of No. 4 Australia and behind South Africa and India_ the England team's ultimate goal is to assume the top spot.
