Olympiakos beats PAOK 3-0 in Greek league

Kevin Mirallas scored twice to help Olympiakos defeat visiting PAOK 3-0 in the Greek league on Sunday.
The Belgian striker latched on to a cross from Yiannis Papadopoulos to beat goalkeeper Dario Kresic in the 38th minute.
Mirallas made it 2-0 with a shot from the edge of the area in the 77th for his seventh goal of the season, and Dennis Rommedahl scored in the 87th off a pass from Dudu.
Olympiakos moved level with defending champion Panathinaikos at the top of the standings. Both teams have 24 points, but Olympiakos has a game in hand. Kavala, 2-1 winner over AEK Athens, leapt over PAOK into third place on 18 points. PAOK has 17.
In other games Sunday, Aris beat Kerkyra 2-0, Panionios won 1-0 at Larissa 1 and Atromitos drew 1-1 with Ergotelis.
Olympiakos had an early scoring chance when Albert Riera received a cross from Mirallas in the sixth minute, but his shot sailed over the crossbar.
Olympiakos goalkeeper Urko Pardo saved a thumping header by Giorgos Fotakis in the 18th.
PAOK almost equalized in the 49th, but Avraam Papadopoulos' timely tackle prevented Dimitris Salpingidis from scoring.
In the 57th, PAOK was left with 10 players after Vladan Ivic received a second yellow card for a rough tackle.
Having already made its three substitutions, PAOK was forced to play the final seven minutes with nine players after Stelios Malezas went off injured.
