Fire on Scandinavian passenger ferry, no injuries

Sea rescue authorities say they are prepared to evacuate a passenger ferry headed from Oslo to Copenhagen with more than 600 people on board because of a fire on the car deck.
Swedish sea rescue spokesman Adam Wiking says Swedish and Danish units are standing by to bring the passengers off the Pearl of Scandinavia if necessary.
However, ferry operator DFDS says that the fire has been put out and no evacuations will be needed. There are no reports of injuries.
The ship is about 3 miles (5 kilometers) off Sweden's west coast. DFDS says it will continue south to Copenhagen.
