Iran, Georgia sign agreement on visa-free travel

Georgia and Iran have signed a deal for visa-free travel, saying it should help develop closer ties between the two countries and boost trade.
Georgia's Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze and his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki signed the agreement to cancel visa requirements in the Georgian capital Wednesday.
Vashadze said at a news conference after the signing that the deal will help boost tourism and trade.
Mottaki said they also discussed regional security issues.
Georgia is led by pro-Western President Mikhail Saakashvili but maintains good relations with Iran and has struck past energy deals with Tehran.
