Armstrong teammate appears at cycling grand jury

A Ukrainian cyclist and teammate of Lance Armstrong appeared Wednesday before a federal grand jury looking into doping in the sport.
Yaroslav Popovych checked in at the grand jury chamber along with his attorney on Wednesday morning. He is the latest person connected to Armstrong to appear before the grand jury, which meets in closed session.
His attorney, Ken Miller, has declined to comment on what Popovych might discuss but confirmed he had been called to testify.
The 30-year-old cyclist has been a member of three Armstrong teams dating back to 2005 and is a current member of Team RadioShack along with Armstrong.
Armstrong is a seven-time winner of the Tour de France, and has repeatedly denied allegations he used performance-enhancing drugs.
