Iran: Russia gives in to 'Satan' with missile ban

Iran's president has accused Russia of giving in to "Satan" after Moscow banned the delivery of S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems to Tehran.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev issued a decree in June banning all sales of the S-300 systems to Iran. Moscow has said United Nations sanctions prevent it from delivering the system to Iran.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday in comments broadcast on Iranian state TV that the 2007 contract Tehran signed with Moscow remains valid and warned that Russia must pay compensation and penalties for unilaterally canceling the deal.
The S-300 is capable of shooting down aircraft and missiles at ranges of over 90 miles (144 kilometers) and at altitudes of about 90,000 feet (27,432 meters).
