A 5.3-magnitude earthquake has rattled central Serbia, apparently causing some material damage. There have been no immediate reports of casualties.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake struck 125 kilometers (75 miles) south of the Serbian capital, Belgrade, early Wednesday.
The Serbian state television said the hardest hit was the area around the town of Kraljevo. The TV said the earthquake has damaged buildings and left parts of the town are without electricity or running water.
