Nagoya trounces Shimizu 5-0 in J-League

Keiji Tamada scored a hat trick Saturday and Josh Kennedy added two goals as Nagoya Grampus opened up a seven-point lead at the top of the J-League standings with a 5-0 thrashing of Shimizu S-Pulse.
After a scoreless first half, Tamada struck in the 50th minute to put the visitors on the scoresheet. The Japan striker added two more goals in the 62nd and 71st minutes.
Australian striker Kennedy added to the onslaught with his 12th and 13th goals in the 58th and 83rd minutes.
The defeat left S-Pulse 11 points behind Nagoya with 10 matches remaining.
Nagoya moved seven points ahead of three-time defending champion Kashima Antlers, which was held to a 1-1 draw by Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
