Mumbai wins toss, bowls in Champions League opener

Mumbai Indians captain Sachin Tendulkar won the toss and chose to bowl first against the Highveld Lions in the Champions League Twenty20 opener at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Friday.
The Mumbai team contains South African pair JP Duminy and Ryan McLaren, West Indies batsman Kieron Pollard, bowlers Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan of India and Sri Lanka paceman Lasith Malinga.
There was no place in the team for West Indies allrounder Dwayne Bravo.
South Africa batsman Alviro Petersen captains the Lions team, which has former test player Neil McKenzie and batsmen Vaughn van Jaarsfeld and Zander de Bruyn. Thami Tsolekile is the wicketkeeper.
Mumbai were runners-up in the 2010 Indian Premier League.
The Lions qualified for the 10-team Champions League after also finishing second in South Africa's domestic Twenty20 competition last season.
South Africa president Jacob Zuma appeared on the pitch at the Wanderers for the toss and Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias entertained the crowd before the start of the tournament's first game.
