India health officials: Dengue fever not a threat

Just three weeks before the Commonwealth Games, Indian health officials are playing down the threat of a dengue fever outbreak in New Delhi.
The outbreak is the latest problem facing an event already marred by shoddy construction, missed deadlines and rampant corruption.
Health officials says that the strain of dengue in New Delhi was relatively mild. They said there have been four deaths and 1,580 cases of the mosquito-borne disease reported in the capital this year.
However, doctors in private clinics across the city say they have been inundated with dengue patients.
