Serbia gays report threats before October march

Serbia's gay groups say right-wing extremists are threatening violence before a pride march planned for Oct. 10.
The event will be Serbia's first in years, after extremists broke up the one in 2001 and forced the cancellation of last year's gathering.
Organizers say extremists have posted calls for violence on Facebook and YouTube. Those include messages such as: "Blood will flow, but there will be no gay parade," or "Oct. 10, day of shame."
Gay groups demanded Friday that police detain those responsible for the threats. They said police have done little to punish those who made threats last year.
Police have not commented. The 2009 pride was canceled after police said they could not guarantee security.
