Regent welcomes you to enjoy 'Koyama's World of Sweets'

Five time winner of Japan's dessert championships, chef Susumu Koyama (see picture) comes to Grand Formosa from July 27th to July 29th to share his sweet secrets with Taiwan.
Featuring a dessert set available at Grand Formosa's 1st floor azie restaurant and 2nd floor Gallery, for 3 days only, a "Koyama's World of Sweets" set will be available limited to about 100 sets per day.
In Kobe, Japan, daily sales reach about 2,000 pieces and orders for his "Koyama Roll" and "Yule Log" must be made a month in advance, but now, these rare sweets are available here for a limited time!
Additionally, Grand Formosa has arranged an opportunity for Koyama fans to meet with the master himself with 3 meeting times for some face to face, one-on-one interaction.
After Koyama became a researcher and consultant for many dessert shops, in 2004 he opened "Patissier eS Koyama" in Kobe.
Unlike many pastry shops that sought to make high profits, Koyama opened his shop in the suburbs with a 1,500 square meter shop designed to showcase each special dessert. But beyond desserts, his store's jams and chocolate corner constantly attracted over 3,000 customers daily, attesting to his fame and popularity.
As of today, Koyama has yet to open another location, insisting that the quality and experience of each customer is the most important and that he hopes that each person may feel the heart put into each creation as well as the unforgettable sweet taste of each bite.
Central to Koyama's philosophy is combining sense and imagination. For example, if one has never seen or tasted a litchi and only knew it had a sweet and tart flavor, one had to use his own "sense" to combine it with other ingredients and imagine if such a combination would work well.
It is due to this unique concept that Koyama's desserts have become so popular and unique in the world of desserts.
In March of this year, Koyama came to Taiwan to research Taiwan's ingredients and fruits, and after 4 months of developed a selection of sweets available only here in Taiwan. With "Koyama's World of Sweets" set, you can enjoy the classic Koyama Roll, the ever popular Yule Log, available only in Japan's Koyama Pudding, the all new Summer Sun Mango Mousse, the first time ever Koyama Cheese and the dreamlike Macaroon.
Amid the wondrous melody of textures and flavors, engage your taste buds on a wondrous journey through the world of Koyama's sweets. "Koyama World of Sweets" set is NT$780+10% per set; Koyama Roll and Yule Log are available for take-out with limited quantities daily at NT$680 each.
In addition to these take out items available exclusively at Grand Formosa, be sure not to miss a rare event with Koyama where you can discuss with the master chef as well as sample some of his special treats. (seating limited to 20 persons per session, NT$1,800 per person, reservations required)
