Suicide bomber kills at least 11 people in Iraq

Iraqi officials say at least 11 people were killed in a mostly Sunni district southwest of Baghdad when a suicide bomber targeting security personnel blew himself up.
The bombing happened Sunday morning as members of an anti-al-Qaida security force lined up to receive paychecks in the town of Radwaniya.
Police and hospital officials said both Iraqi Army personnel and members of the anti-al-Qaida group, known as Sahwa or Sons of Iraq, died in the blast.
The Sahwa fighters have played a key role in the reduction of violence in Iraq since they first rose up against their al-Qaida allies in late 2006, joining the U.S. military and government forces in the fight against the terror group. They have since been frequently targeted by militants.
