Wolfsburg has signed Croatia forward Mario Mandzukic on from Dinamo Zagreb on a four-year contract.
The 24-year-old was presented Friday as the latest of several summer signings.
General manager Dieter Hoeness said Mandzukic "will support us with his power in attack" and added that "we now have several possibilities in our forward play."
Wolfsburg's attack already boasts Bosnia striker Edin Dzeko and Brazil's Grafite.
Wolfsburg is preparing for its first season under English coach Steve McClaren. It has brought in Germany defender Arne Friedrich and Denmark defender Simon Kjaer, and taken Brazilian midfielder Cicero on loan.
The club was the Bundesliga champion in 2008-09 but finished eighth last season.
