An exhibition for featuring Taiwanese food was unveiled yesterday in the T&T Supermarket in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada. David Lee, Taiwan’ representative in Canada also joined the gourmet feast and promoted featuring dishes for visitors, according to Central News Agency reports.
The food festival starting from July 16 to 29 demonstrates more than 300 Taiwanese traditional food and snacks.
Wen Chi-ming, manager of the supermarket, noted that since its opening last year the company always endeavors to promote cultures and foods from different backgrounds.
The food exhibition is going around four themes including childhood memory, local products, featured brands and popular items, added Wen.
Taiwanese food is unparalleled in the world especially featuring snacks, which are always glamorous among international tourists, noted Lee, adding that it was a good opportunity to promote Taiwan in Canada in this event.
While having a taste of an array of attractive dishes, visitors will have chances to win prizes including Toronto-Taiwan round-trip tickets and the hottest iPads, said Wen.
